Description

CORTEXIN® unique low-dose neuropeptide:

Three-vector action:

awards

  1. Neuroprotection.
  2. Neuroplasticity.
  3. Neuroreparation.

Short course from 10 days

Long lasting effect

CORTEXIN® is widely used by doctors in neurological disorders and pathological processes associated with the brain dysfunction. A wide margin of effectiveness covers all age groups. The biological nature of the agent enables rapid launching of internal mechanisms that restore normal functioning of the brain. Effectiveness is wherein preserved within several months. Safety of Cortexin® is confirmed during practical use of the agent by million of patients both in Russia, and abroad.

Cortexin is a peptide and vitamin complex for improving brain energy metabolism. Cortexin provides nootropic, neuroprotective, antioxidative and tissue-specific action. It improves cerebral functions, learning abilities and memory, alertness and stress tolerance. Stimulates reparative processes in the brain and prevents the formation of free radicals.

Cortexin is a complex of polypeptide fractions penetrating the blood-brain barrier and affecting nervous cells. Has a neuroprotective effect and reduces toxic impact of psychotropic agents. Due to its antioxidative action Cortexin inhibits oxidative stress. The drug improves the bioelectrical activity of the brain. Mechanism of action of Cortexin is determined by activation of neuronal peptides and neurotrophic cerebral factors; optimization of metabolic balance of excitatory and inhibitory amino acids, dopamine, serotonin; and GABAergic action.

Neuroprotection:

This term is frequently met in medical publications, mass media, pharmaceutical advertising. Neuroprotection opportunities are rooted in the nature of the brain, in genes and regulatory neuropeptides. The essence of neuroprotection is that treatment both protects the affected group of neurons and ensures its further functioning. Is there an adequate pharmacological interaction that can launch the natural mechanisms and support them at the needed level? The question is important for medicine. In this regard, searching, creation and testing of new pharmaceutical agents are and will be one of the most crucial trends in modern pharmacology.

Searching new neuroprotectors is a complex process that requires combined effort of doctors, biologists and pharmacologists at all the stages. Peptides need special attention here. In spite of their diversity, they are knit together by a number of common characteristics such as low dosage, no pronounced toxic effects, mild and long-term duration. Cumulatively, it can be asserted that a system of peptides in the body (S. V. Koroleva, I. P. Ashmarin, 2006) formed during million years of evolution regulates all functions at many levels including processes ultimately leading to the neuroprotective effect. In the informational aspect, peptides represent a universal language which is clear and natural for living organisms both at the systemic, and cellular levels.

Cortexin is a drug with proven clinical, biological, cellular, genetic and molecular effectiveness, is an example of successful development based on the abovementioned principles.

What are nootropes

Nootropic drugs are drugs that activate the metabolism in nerve cells and improve thought processes. Such drugs are being developed for patients with neurological problems. For example, for those who have suffered a stroke, suffer from epilepsy or Alzheimer's disease. They need to protect the brain from destruction and spur nerve cells to live at the same level as healthy people. If you read the instructions for the drugs, it turns out that a person who takes nootropics thinks faster, learns better, remembers information and more easily tolerates high loads and stress. Therefore, nootropics are so interesting for students during a session and for simply healthy people who dream of overclocking their own brain and working in turbo mode.

Ingredients:

Polypeptides of the cerebral cortex of young animals. 10 vials of 10 mg.

One bottle contains the active substance - cortexin 10 mg (a complex of water-soluble polypeptide fractions), an auxiliary substance - 12 mg glycine (stabilizer).

Dosage:

The drug is administered intramuscularly. Before injection, the contents of the vial are dissolved in 1-2 ml of a 0.5% solution of procaine (novocaine), water for injection or 0.9% sodium chloride solution (directing the needle to the wall of the vial to avoid foaming) and injected once daily: adults at a dose of 10 mg for 10 days; children with a body weight of up to 20 kg at a dose of 0.5 mg / kg, with a body weight of more than 20 kg at a dose of 10 mg for 10 days. If necessary, repeat the course in 3-6 months. With hemispheric ischemic stroke in the acute and early recovery periods, adults at a dose of 10 mg 2 times a day (morning and afternoon) for 10 days, with a repeated course in 10 days.

Form release:

Lyophilisate for the preparation of a solution for intramuscular administration, 10 vials of 10 mg.
